Microsoft Dynamics 365
Microsoft Power Platform Consulting
We build Power Apps, automate workflows with Power Automate, create Power BI reports and set up Copilot Studio agents, then put governance around it all so it doesn't turn into a mess of orphaned flows.

At a glance
Microsoft Power Platform consulting means building Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Power BI reports and Copilot Studio agents to replace spreadsheets, email approvals and paper forms. It's for companies already paying for Microsoft 365. Tag4 Technology Solutions builds the apps, checks licensing before the build, and sets up environments and data loss prevention policies so citizen-built apps stay maintainable.

Microsoft Power Platform consulting makes sense when you have processes running on spreadsheets, email and paper forms, and you already pay for Microsoft 365. Power Apps turns those into real apps. Power Automate moves approvals and data between systems. Power BI gives managers numbers they can trust, and Copilot Studio builds chat agents that answer questions from your own documents and data. It's the same platform Dynamics 365 runs on, so the skills carry over.
Power Platform is easy to start and easy to get wrong. The common failure is an app built on a SharePoint list that works for 50 records and silently returns incomplete results at 5,000 because of delegation limits. Another is a critical flow running under the account of someone who left last year. A third is a surprise licensing bill when a premium connector shows up in an app used by 300 people. We pick Dataverse or SQL when the data calls for it, run flows under service accounts, and price licensing before the build, not after.
Governance matters as much as the apps. We set up environments for development, testing and production, data loss prevention policies to control which connectors can mix, and managed solutions deployed through pipelines. Your IT team gets visibility through the CoE Starter Kit or Managed Environments, and business users can still build within guardrails.
A single well-scoped app or automation usually takes 4 to 8 weeks. A Power BI reporting rollout runs 6 to 12 weeks depending on data sources. A broader program with governance and several apps is typically planned in quarterly phases.
What we do
Power Platform services
Power Apps development
Canvas apps for mobile and task-focused work, model-driven apps for data-heavy processes, and Power Pages sites for customers and partners.
Power Automate workflows
Approval flows, document processing, system-to-system automation with cloud flows, and desktop flows for legacy apps without an API.
Power BI reporting
Data models, DAX measures and dashboards connected to Dynamics, SQL, Excel and cloud sources, with row-level security and scheduled refresh.
Copilot Studio agents
Chat agents for employees or customers that answer from your SharePoint, Dataverse and website content and can trigger actions through Power Automate.
Dataverse data modeling
Tables, relationships, security roles and business rules designed so apps scale past the prototype stage.
Governance and CoE setup
Environment strategy, DLP policies, Managed Environments, the CoE Starter Kit and an inventory of what is already running in your tenant.
Rescue and cleanup
Audits of existing apps and flows, moving fragile SharePoint-based apps to Dataverse and reassigning flows owned by former employees.
How we work
What you can expect from us
Licensing checked before building
We map every connector and data source to its license requirement during design, so the cost per user is known before anyone commits.
The right data store
SharePoint is fine for small lists. For anything with volume, relationships or security needs, we use Dataverse or Azure SQL from the start.
Pro-code when it helps
Our developers write custom connectors, Azure Functions and PCF controls when low-code hits a wall, instead of forcing a workaround.
Handover your team can own
We document each app and flow, name things sensibly and train your makers, so you aren't dependent on us for every small change.

Process
From first call to production
Discovery
A few working sessions to pin down goals, users, constraints and what "done" means. You get a written scope and estimate.
Design
Architecture, data model and clickable UI before heavy coding starts, so surprises show up early and cheaply.
Build
Two-week sprints with a demo at the end of each one. You see working software, not status reports.
Launch
Automated tests, staged rollout, monitoring and a rollback plan. Go-live should be boring.
Support
Bug fixes, updates and new features on a monthly plan, or a clean handover to your team.
FAQ
Power Platform: common questions
Is Power Platform included in our Microsoft 365 license?
Partly. Microsoft 365 includes basic Power Apps and Power Automate use with standard connectors like SharePoint and Outlook. Premium connectors, Dataverse, desktop flows and Copilot Studio need additional licenses, either per user or per app. We check this during design so there are no surprises later.
How much does a Power Apps project cost?
A single focused app or automation is a small project measured in weeks. Cost grows with the number of screens, integrations, data volume and whether the solution needs Dataverse. We give a fixed estimate once the scope is clear.
Should we build on Power Platform or write custom software?
Power Platform is a good fit for internal apps, approvals and workflows within the Microsoft ecosystem, especially where speed matters more than a custom interface. Custom software is better for customer-facing products, heavy traffic or unusual UX. We do both, so we'll recommend whichever fits.
How do we stop Power Platform from becoming unmanageable?
Set up environments, DLP policies and a Center of Excellence early, before hundreds of apps exist. Managed Environments and the CoE Starter Kit show you who built what and which connectors are in use. We can put this in place as a short standalone project.
Can Power Platform connect to Dynamics 365 and our other systems?
Yes. Dynamics 365 CRM apps run on Dataverse, so Power Apps work with that data directly. Business Central and F&O have connectors and virtual tables, and hundreds of other systems have prebuilt connectors or can be reached through a custom connector.
Do you support apps after they launch?
Yes. We offer monthly support for fixes, enhancements, connector changes and monitoring of failed flows. Many clients use it to keep a steady backlog of small improvements moving.
